Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Validate animations to adhere to technical restrictions.
Support the integration of animations in the game engine.
Creation of animation state machines in the game engine.
Create, maintain, test, and debug animation tools and pipelines.
Create rigs and skinning for simple props and integrate into game engine.
Collaborate with various job families to build compelling gameplay animation systems as the go to person for all tech animation questions and needs.
Adapt and maintain animation pipeline to be used in production in accordance with the project's technical constraints. Understands all areas of the pipeline and can track tasks and problems for all phases of production.
Follows technical directives and delivers technical support to the team, thereby helping to solve bugs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Experience in videogame technical animation or any other relevant experience.
Understands and can execute the rigging, animating, and integration pipeline.
Strong knowledge of animation state machines, gameplay mechanics and animations, in-engine IK.
Good understanding and technical knowledge of Unreal
Understands the motion capture pipeline
Basic understanding of fundamental animation and rigging principles.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with animators and programmers.
